God's Business!
It was the day before I was launching a new web-site, when disaster struck without warning...

I discovered my merchant processor had closed our account, meaning we couldn't process payments at the new site!

Oh no!!!

They claimed that we had somehow violated their user agreement. But I could find absolutely no fault anywhere with our business, and as is apparently typical with this particular merchant provider, they were not willing to provide specific details (on exactly how we had reportedly violated their terms).

I know from years in the business that once this particular processor closes an account, it's almost always permanent. In fact, once they've closed your account, there's little hope of having it reopened even if it's found you really weren't at fault to begin with!

Having heard of quite a few "horror stories" about closed accounts, I knew of only a SINGLE merchant who'd had their account reopened after it'd been closed due to a cited violation. And even in that case, it took the provider nearly two weeks to reopen that account. This meant the loss of all potential sales during that period.

Shortly after we found our account had been closed, my business partner called the provider and asked what had happened. As feared, they were unwilling to provide much information, and left little hope other than that we could call the next day to escalate
the issue with their Acceptable Use department.

"But tomorrow's too late, that was our deadline to launch the new site!" I thought to myself.

After the initial shock and disbelief over this situation wore off a bit, I said a prayer to the Lord. I claimed His authority over my
business, and left the situation in His hands.

About an hour later, something amazing happened. I decided to attempt logging in to our merchant account to see if anything had changed. And guess what?

The account was FULLY RESTORED and ready to once again accept payments! I've always known God answers prayer, but this was nothing short of incredible.

Just to confirm everything was alright, we again called the provider, and they indicated we were good to go!

...They never would tell us exactly why our account was closed and reopened.

But we do know this: Our business is also God's business, and when He's in charge, not even one of the web's largest merchant providers can stop us from His ultimate purpose!

The next day we launched the site as planned, and within several days we had over 230 new (paying) members!

Praise the Lord!
